Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, an American stage and screen actor and producer. She is most famous as an actress in films for her role on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She received an B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis, a writer and American actor who is active in theater in film, television, and theatre. She started acting on stage and went onto appear in mainstream, independent and TV series. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and various nominations and awards, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. Her debut on stage in the role of Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her most well-known work is her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her work in television she's been recognized for her role as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
